Apprentissage fondamental

Les ministres et les représentants ministériels de 20 pays africains se sont mis d'accord sur un modèle de kit de démarrage de l'apprentissage fondamental comme guide de ressources pour assurer l'uniformité, la continuité et la durabilité.

The 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi resulted in more than one million people being killed in 100 days and Rwanda became considered a failed state. Since then, Rwanda has steadily managed to move from an emergency phase into a development phase. Rwanda's education system has undergone significant change during the country’s national Vision 2020 (Republic of Rwanda, 2012). In 2015, the government drafted Vision 2050 (Republic of Rwanda, 2015), setting out a long-term strategic vision for the nation. Vision 2050 states that Rwanda's education system will be market driven and competence based.

Access has been a historic strength of Ghana’s education system, although issues remain with over-age enrolment. While there is some recent encouraging progress in reading, basic education learning outcomes remain low. Since 2017, Ghana has embarked on an ambitious set of reforms, including development of teacher standards, introduction of a new curriculum, establishment of fee-free senior secondary education, an overhaul of pre-service teacher education and reforms to improve accountability and learning outcomes across basic schools.
